Vectorizing

What it is, what it's used for, and
how to transform an image into a vector

To create photomontages with designs on our Promotionice website, we use vector images to achieve the highest resolution and quality possible during printing and to achieve excellent results.

If you're not sure what it is, don't worry! We'll explain what a vector design is.

What is a vector file?

It's an image formed by vectors, not pixels. To vectorize a logo, lines are used to form a design. This allows the image to be enlarged or reduced without losing the original resolution or quality.

These vectors are digitally fully digitized drawing segments, curves, and geometric objects. When measurements are changed, the dimensions and parameters of these elements change, so the quality doesn't decrease.

Why is vector graphics needed?

There are many advantages to a vector design, especially in the field of printing and reprography.

With a vector file, we can break down the elements of the logo and even export it to another type of file with the original quality, without losing resolution.

We can also print the design on a large scale while maintaining quality, which is very useful if we want a design on a banner, flag, or poster... The design won't become pixelated and will appear in high definition.

If you want to change the background colors or the logo itself, it will be very easy.

If you want to attach it or send it via email, it will be sent more quickly because the file is lighter and doesn't take up much space.

You'll find it in formats like .psd, .pdf, .svg, .ai, .cdr, .eps... depending on the program on which it's created and how the file is exported.

How can I get an illustration in vector format?

Normally, competent individuals in the field, like graphic vector designers, handle this task. They're the ideal people to commission to create or redesign your company's corporate image. Always remember that the files must be in vector format.

If you know how to use vector graphics programs like Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar tools, you can complete this vectorization process with the help of a tutorial.

In case you don't have a vectorized image yet, you can send us the design in .jpg or .png format in the best possible resolution, and we'll create it for you to complete the photomontage and product customization.

We recommend creating your logo's vector images as soon as possible to be able to customize your corporate gifts with the best quality. It's a format that offers many more possibilities and advantages.
